Professional Development

Jennifer S Brown is a Certified Nose Work Instructor (CNWI) with the National Association of Canine Scent Work (NACSW). She has a BSc (Hons) in Veterinary and Animal Science and a practical and theoretical grounding in learning theory, animal behavior and training, as well as research methodology. She has spent hundreds of hours furthering her knowledge of scent work, dog-handler team dynamics, and odor characteristics and dispersal in varied environments. She is a cross-over trainer who has been training dogs for over thirteen years as well as conducting scientific research in animal behavior. She holds a Primary certification in TAGteach (teaching with acoustical guidance) instruction, and is working toward her full certification in Behavior Adjustment Training (CBATI) and becoming a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (KPA-CTP).
